Organoleptic characteristics

Still dry white wine with a small sugar residual to add smoothness. It is the most original wine from La Tosa winery because it is born from pure research as this type of wine has never existed. The grape is Malvasia di Candia Aromatica that has been cultivated since the sixeeteen century to produce a sparkling aromatic wine. Il Sorriso di Cielo was born in 1991 from the desire to explore the possibility to produce a still, structured and long-lived wine from the vineyard. The result is confirmed after 20 years of making wine obtained from one of the great Italian grapes Malvasia a true Italian alternative to the Gewurtztraminer.

"Burtleina" with cold cuts

The "Burtleina" is a kind of pancake based on wheat and water, and it is one of the cornerstone of popular Piacenza food. In every town is prepared in a sligtly different way, all of them very tasty!

It goes very well with cold cuts from Piacenza (coppa, pancetta, salame) and soft cheeses. The origin of "Burtleina" are lost in the past, but already in the 19th century was used as a substitution of bread on the farmer's tables.
