Located at 590 feet with a south-west exposure and established in 1990;
Total production: 1,700 bottles.


Harvested in the last 10 days of September;
25 days fermentation with natural yeasts;
12 months in Allier oak tonneaux ;
Produced only in selected years (600 from this vintage).

Guyot 100% - 8.8 Tons/ha

Organoleptic characteristics

Wonderful purple color with pink rim, rich aroma of grapefruit, rose, blueberry and lemon zest unfolding in the palate; a classic Barbera with low acidity for the best tasting experience.

The wine at the table

With its structure and acidity, L’Attesa is fantastic with roast meats and braised beef dishes. Open the bottle 1~2 hours before serving.

La Ricetta

Bocconcini di brasato

It’s basically an Piacenza version of pot roast and uses Barbera/Gutturnio as the primary braising liquid, although you could substitute stock if you prefer. The braising liquid and vegetables reduce to a rich, beef and tomato flavored sauce. The braised beef is often served with mashed potatoes which are delicious topped with the sauce.
